About
BTE Intensives : built on the field - based on your facilities.
Our senior instructors bring over a decade of experience delivering Technical English programmes for oil and gas personnel across southern Iraq. Programmes delivered included Production & Separation Trains, Gas Turbines, Water Injection Facilities, Produced Water Treatment Facilities, Well Test Facilities, Safety Procedures and Protocols. Basra Technical English brings that field experience into focused 5-day and 10-day intensive programmes, delivered by our senior instructors and sustained by ongoing online learning.
The approach
Traditional coursebook and classroom programmes often do not deliver langauge capability. For your teams to be competent communicators in the Control Room, at Toolbox Talks, and in meetings with IOC counterparts, focus on your equipment and facilities and the language needed to talk about them is necessary. Our lead instructors have spent a decade creating courses that enable your teams to walk and talk their way through the production line from well-head to export pipeline.
Language knowledge is essential - the English for the parts and processes of the equipment and the phrases needed to talk about them. While this knowledge is essential, it is not sufficient for real communication ability. Also needed is real time practical development, performance and assessed demonstration of the ability to communicate this language knowledge - in presentations, in reports, in handovers, in discussions. BTE Intensives focus directly on exactly this communcative speaking and listening ability.
At the end of every BTE Intensive each attendee demonstrates directly - by presentation - the genuine valuable communicative ability they have gained.
Why the online platform exists
Training doesn't end with competance. Sustainment - and ongoing development - of new learned skills is vital for your teams and your company. BTE Intensive material - including final presentation videos - remain available for trainees online through our site.
